I like your ‘reading plan’ w/out the tight schedule. I’ve talked with a lot of men about ‘how’ they read their bible, and the one thing that is consistent amount all the great readers is that they read psalms and/or proverbs everyday, and go through them all in either 6 months or a year, and then start over. I’ve heard time and time again, how uplifting, inspiring, or just plain how important men find these two books.

I particularly like the ‘parallel’ feature of the bible reader on this site, which allows me to see two translations side by side. I’ve got Ty set up with an account, and we are tracking each others’ reading plans, which is kind of fun.

This way I read the OT once in a year and the NT twice in a year. Once I get to the end of Psalms, I read through Proverbs at one per day. and then back to Psalms again. That way I read twice through each of those in the year also.

I would be interested in reading along with you and others.

What you see, and what I see here are a little different. I remember a young wife who wanted to have a baby more than anything in the world. And then later wanted to have a ‘sister’, a ‘lifetime friend’ that you could connect with. Is it just me, or does every wish you have come true? Where are you hiding the genie?!?

The funny thing is… Just like a genie, each wish doesn’t turn out to be all you dreamed of. Each answer has seemed tied to a very challenging hardship.

Life gives us so much to make it interesting, and to inspire us, I find there isn’t much need for want. Just be content with what is here, and you’ll find you have more than you can dream for.

Thank you so much for the posting, you’ll never know how much your words touched my heart. Now what I have to say about what kind of women you are. You grew up to be the kind of women that is loyal to the family, to your friends and most important to your family. God has given you alot to deal with within your own family, yet when there’s something going on within the family, you try very hard to be there and help out. God knows how hard and how much you put aside and give however you may be needed.
Your a good mother and wife, your family is well cared for in every way, and like all good mom’s your family is always first.
I could go on and on however I’ll end with this, I have through the years learned so much from you my wonderful daughter.
