HOSPITAL COFFEE… Let me say this only once. I really don’t want to hurt any feelings here… but I think that hospital coffee needs HELP! All the HELP it can get. The parents are in desperate need of good coffee. That is the real reason why the moms all look like hell. They can’t bear to drink one more drop of the sludgy mud water so they are now forced to walk around in a fog of sleepy haze. That’s why you see so many hospital’s bringing on the big guns and bringing in the “man” Starbucks *gasp*. All they want is for the moms to be able to open up there eyes and talk to the doctors.
This is my plea… to all the Hospitals in the world… For the love of moms… Get Starbucks….
Minnie is doing amazing. I know that you all want an update. She was up and walking on Friday night we were able to put her in traction for a short time. Again on Saturday, she spent time in traction and we had a Cheetah Girl Marathon! Oh YAH! That’s right I know you are so sad you missed it!… Sunday we went to Chapel and Did So many Crafts I now hold the Title “Craft Queen”!
Today she…. Are you ready…
She first saw the doctor and had a tube pulled out of her back! OWE! Then the nurse came in, and did a nuro check… “Stick your tongue out, Squeeze my hand, wiggle your toes!!! Shrugged your shoulders. Kick your feet… Smile, swallow…Okay! Here’s your med’s!” Then she went to breakfast. After that she had school. ( I ran and threw in a load of laundry in to the wash) Then promptly she went to physical therapy. Then the nurse came in, and did a nuro check… “Stick your tongue out, Squeeze my hand, wiggle your toes!!! Shrugged your shoulders. Kick your feet… Smile, swallow…Okay! Here’s your med’s!” Right after that she had lunch, then occupational therapy and recreational therapy (better known as PE!) And her all time fav ! Child Life…Better known as craft time! ” This is where I shine my Craft Queen Crown”. From Craft time we went right down to dinner. Then right on to Volunteer time where once again we get to do crafts… My Craft Queen Crown is “Super Shiny”. After Volunteer time she got her pins scrubbed and jammies on. Minnie’s Respiratory therapist put BI-PAP on. Then the nurse came in, and did a nuro check… “Stick your tongue out, Squeeze my hand, wiggle your toes!!! shrugged your shoulders. Kick your feet… Smile, swallow…Okay! Here’s your med’s!” After a long day Mommy Say’s “say your prayers baby girl”… then off to bed she went….
Guess what… It starts all over tomorrow.. I really do miss you ALL TERRIBLY. I am sorry if I have not corresponded appropriately. Josh and I both are learning how to do our jobs with out the other one right now, and we both frankly don’t feel like we do it best with out the other one. It is like a fish out of water. Not only am I way from home but I am also away from my heart as well. I do want you to know we love you all and are so thankful for you all. And thankful for your thoughts and prayers.
~Much Love
